By linking National and Regional HUBs, Regional Living Lab Systems, innovative solutions and investment pathways, MEDCONNECT helps turn the Mission’s ambitions into coordinated action across the Mediterranean.

The Mediterranean Basin Lighthouse is part of the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters”, created to accelerate coordinated action for healthier marine and freshwater ecosystems across the region.It builds on existing governance structures, initiatives and networks, connecting countries and stakeholders to align priorities, mobilise resources and scale solutions across the Mediterranean.
The Lighthouse has a strong focus on preventing and eliminating pollution, while contributing to the broader Mission ambition of restoring ecosystems and supporting a circular and climate-neutral blue economy.
